Dotted Wall Art

dotted wall art

This summer we moved into our new place and spent July and August to paint and make the house look good. One thing have been missing for quite a while in the living room and that’s something on the wall. We weren’t sure if we should go for a photography or a poster, or simply make something ourselves. Well, we chose the latter and made our own dotted wall art!

Supplies: To make this I used colored paper, a glue stick, a circle cutter, a sheet of white paper size A2 and a RIBBA frame from Ikea. My circle cutter cuts 1″ dots and I fitted 13×18, a total of 104 dots inside the passepartout. With all the dots cut out I started with gluing them on one by one, making sure every dot had a different colored dot next to it.

This took some time I must tell you, but I gotta say, I’m pretty pleased with the result. The light wall needed some color! You may think the frame is placed too far left on the wall? That is because I’m putting up another frame right next to it, not sure with what content yet…
