Make your own bead bow tie! Step-by-step instructions and template follows:

1. Supplies: A transparent pegboard, beads in two colors, iron, baking paper, a glue gun, a brooch needle and the bead bow tie template printed out on paper. 2. Start with positioning the template beneath the pegboard. 3. Put on all the beads, I prefer to start with the black frame. 4. Lay a sheet of baking paper on top of the beads on the pegboard and start ironing carefully. Keep the iron moving. Let it cool of a couple minutes, release the bow tie from the pegboard, put it on the table and iron the other side. Now, you don’t need to be as thorough as on the front because this side won’t be visible. 5. Use the glue gun and attach the brooch needle. 6. Put on a shirt, attach the bow tie and you’re ready to party!

That’s awesome! Thinking I might make some mini ones and put hair clips on them for my nieces.
The mini ones are so cute! I made a normal sized bow tie for a friend of mine the other day, and a mini bow tie for his son who is soon-to-be five years old. Great idea putting them on hair clips! Let me know how they turn out Sarah
I made a smaller version of this for my son to wear on Easter. He got tons of compliments! Thanks so much!!! http://www.aprilscraftnest.blogspot.com
